“Going Green Through Positive Rock ‘n Roll”
Joel Warren is an 11 year veteran elementary school teacher from Massachusetts . He is now traveling across the Northeast with his motivational Character Education program for audiences. After over 70 performances last year, he now has a full band and a newly developed program focused on environmental awareness. Joel's mission is to encourage children to approach life with confidence while developing and maintaining skills for reaching life long potential.
What can you expect at the Rock Recess “Green Team” Show?
Joel , Chad , Don and BJ Knights each have a “character” personality that elicits and welcomes constant audience participation. The messages are powerful teaching concepts about “energy conservation” , “trash disposal” , “benefits of outside play as the alternative to indoor media fixation ” , “RECYCLING as RESPECT for earth” , and most importantly “recognizing that each of these is a strong character trait” . The band's concepts/skits aim to reinforce current “Green” movements and create a healthy mindset about the world we live in as a shared responsibility. The Rock Recess Green show is a combination of guitar, percussion, chanting and singing fueled with energy , motivation , movement , laughter , storytelling, and of course ROCK ‘N ROLL! It's a message that adults will enjoy and children will feel empowered by – truly a performance the audience will not forget!
